We are now in Derby after camping out at Windjana Gorge National Park. We based ourselves there but also went to Tunnel Creek National Park. Tunnel Creek runs through a large cave that you can enter by first climbing over some large boulders and wading through the creek. It was a great walk with some aboriginal cave paintings at the end. Windjana Gorge was lovely too, we waited till the cool of the late afternoon to walk the gorge. No swimming here as there are too many freshwater crocs. We saw dozens lazing in the water and on the banks. The sun setting on the gorge walls was spectacular.
Today is a busy day washing and shopping to restock our dwindling food supplies. Tomorrow we are booked on our seaplane flight out to the horizontal falls. We are staying overnight and flying back on Thursday morning - we are all very excited as this is one of the highlights of our trip.
