Mitchell Falls

Spent 2 nights at the falls- the road in was a bit of a punish but worth it. We all hiked up to the falls - it was a great walk with plenty of croc free waterholes and waterfalls to swim in along the way. One waterhole look like it was landscaped - huge lily pads with blooms of lilies, paperbark gums along the waters edge , interspersed with palms. The falls were amazing, still plenty of water around. We had 2 hours to kill before the chopper came to pick us up to fly over the falls and back to camp,  so we just swam at the top of the falls. We lay like lizards soaking up the sun on the rocks - tough day but someone has to do it.
It was great to get a birdseye view of the falls from the chopper, so we were all pleased we had taken that option.
